Recently I stumbled over these fun colorful resin wheelies (the stuff is sold as "polaris", half transparent and matte, also available in a shiny version). Without a design idea in mind I bought some of them. After Creativa fair (now with an idea brewing up) I bought some more in very bright colors.
Als es dann ans Fädeln ging, hat mich mein Mut zum ultimativen bunt urplötzlich wieder verlassen. Ich griff ganz feige zu iris-braunen Perlchen und später zu altbronze-farbenen Metallteilen, um pink, chartreuse und quietschorange etwas abzudämpfen.
When I started beading I lost confidence and took the chicken out exit from the bright and colorful highway. I decided to take brown iris beads and antiqued bronze findings to slow down my ringlets in hot pink, chartreuse and squeaky orange.
Ich finde, die Mischung ist trotzdem ganz gut gelungen und die Kette könnte ein neues Lieblingsteil werden.
Nevertheless, I think the mixture is not bad at all and maybe this necklace could even be my new favourite piece.

I love it! I agree with your idea to tone down the bright colors. It make the colors pop. I really like your squeaky orange, and as always your bead work is flawless.
